The Santiago Canyon College Humanities Building is a three-story, 97,500-square-foot classroom and faculty office building that encompasses 34 general classrooms, an anthropology lab with support spaces, 28 faculty offices and divisional offices. The building also contains the 3,000-square-foot campus IT center, campuswide writing and language center, campus success center and tutoring centers. The highly efficient facility is LEED Gold certified by the US Green Building Council and includes sustainable features, like a photovoltaic panel for on-site power generation, a cool roof, water-efficient landscaping and plumbing fixtures, daylight harvesting and highly efficient HVAC units that perform 20 percent better than Title 24 standards.
