Paramount High School Reconstruction

The "Paramount Experience", to enhance students' opportunities in the three A's - Academics, Arts and Athletics, is being achieved through the implementation of a district-wide Facility Master Plan developed by LPA. The most significant portion of that plan is the transformation of the existing Paramount High School into a campus with enhanced civic presence; achieved by the addition of 21st century academic facilities incorporating time-honored architectural materials. The $72 million high school program will include a new Athletic Stadium, Field House, Mini-gym, Academic / Science Classroom Building, and Library / Media Center. The first phase of program scheduled for construction will be the Athletic Stadium and Field House. The entire project is currently being designed with solar power incorporated in all the new buildings with a targeted sustainability goal of being grid-neutral. Building Information Modeling software was utilized for the development of the design.
