The Rundown: LPA, Inc. is looking for a licensed Landscape Architectural Project Manager for the San Diego office.
Key Goals and Objectives of this role: The Project Manager will plan, organize, and control the activities of the project team to best accomplish the successful completion of all assigned projects. As the primary point of contact, the Project Manager shall be responsible for coordination of the project between LPA and its Clients. The Project Manager shall be responsible for coordination of the design and technical efforts of the project team members and the integration of architecture, engineering, interiors and architectural disciplines on the project.
+Maintain effective liaison with Clients.
+Solicit and negotiate Client and consultant services and fees.
+Manage projects of various scales while working with Clients and in-house design disciplines.
+Execute and oversee financial management of projects.
+Establish Work Plans and Manage Project Teams for the purpose of procuring profitable projects.
+Manage and assist in the development of complete project documents including Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Document Packages.
+Manage and perform Construction Administration services.
+Manage and oversee Quality Assurance & Quality Control of projects.
+Mentor and help direct staff of junior Landscape Architects
+Present design and other project documents to Clients for review and approval.
+Work with the directors of various architectural and engineering disciplines inthe development of plans and project documents.
+Coordinate design activity between various disciplines.
Education and Licensure:
+Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture is required.
+Landscape Architecture license is required.
Desired Skills and Experience:
+10 + years of experience in an architecture or multi-disciplinary design firm.
+Experience with Corporate, developer and/or Institutional projects.
+Strong interpersonal and Client relationship skills.
+Knowledge of, and experience with, City submittal requirements, CDP + SDP for San Diego and surrounding cities/municipalities.
+Proficient in the development of plans and details required to properly convey design intent at all levels of the design process.
+Proficient in Construction Administration.
+Knowledge in the construction process and field experience sufficient to coordinate projects with contractors.
+Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
+Proficiency in Sketch Up, PowerPoint and other typical programs is required.
